On November 21, the 2023 ChinaEU Offshore New Energy Development Cooperation Forum with the theme of "Offshore wind and solar power promote low-carbon development, China-EU cooperation to share a green future" was successfully held in Yancheng, Jiangsu. Ren Jingdong, deputy director of the National Energy Administration, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech, and Fu Cong, head of the Chinese Mission to the European Union and ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary, delivered a video speech. Zhou Bin, secretary of the municipal party committee, Wang Bin, general manager of China Power Construction Group, Guo Meiyao, consul general of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Shanghai, Lisa, consul general of the Norwegian Consulate General in Shanghai, and Mentoya, vice chairman of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, delivered speeches respectively. Zhang Mingkang, deputy secretary of the municipal party committee and mayor, presided over the meeting, and Wang Rong, chairman of the Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee, and Yang Weida, deputy secretary of the municipal party committee and director of the United Front Work Department, attended.

Offshore new energy is an important part of clean, green and renewable energy, and is also one of the most promising areas for ChinaEU energy cooperation. This forum focuses on the theme of "Offshore wind and solar power promote lowcarbon development, ChinaEU cooperation shares a green future", jointly discussing the prospects for energy development, carrying out more pragmatic cooperation, and jointly creating a bright future for the green development of the offshore new energy industry.

Yancheng, Jiangsu, the venue of this forum, is located in the central coastal area of Jiangsu. It is the city with the longest coastline, the largest sea area and the most tidal flats and wetlands in Jiangsu. It is also the location of China's first SinoEuropean cooperative offshore wind power project.

Yancheng, with its large space, good location, excellent ecology and strong industry, has a solid foundation for ChinaEurope cooperation in developing offshore new energy, and has carried out indepth international cooperation with European countries such as France, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom in resource development, equipment manufacturing, technological innovation and talent exchange. The guests agreed that taking this forum as an opportunity, they will jointly participate in the development of offshore new energy and the construction of Yancheng's low (zero) carbon industrial park around the integrated development of Yancheng's "wind, light, fire, gas and hydrogen" and the integrated layout of "source, grid, load and storage", and contribute more wisdom and strength to global carbon peak and carbon neutrality. Outside the site, a series of wind power and photovoltaic industry equipment were exhibited in an orderly manner. Yancheng is blessed with unique "wind and light" resources. There are about 60GW of offshore wind power and photovoltaic resources that can be developed, equivalent to 3 Three Gorges power stations. The participating representatives of Sincetrue Hydrogen Energy gained an indepth understanding of the current status and development trends of Yancheng's new energy industry, actively communicated with all participants, and shared the company's R&D and industrialization experience in the field of hydrogen energy.

The next day, Sincetrue representatives visited the Yancheng Science and Technology Development Bureau and had indepth exchanges with science and technology leaders on technological innovation and industrial development in the field of new energy.
